Sitting here at my house in Hermosa, and it’s cold, wet, and rainy outside. Longing for sunshine and warm breezes right now.

Perhaps it’s because it’s the holiday season…I don’t know… but it’s true. Despite the fact that many opportunities have a risen (and has with others; which I rejected) they are simply… just.. not… you.
I don’t care if you don’t care about me anymore… I just simply wanted you to know.
Well… I’m back in LA from Hawaii, and I must say that I miss the islands terribly. Being there for the past month was the best thing that has happened to me in a long, long time. Not only did I complete my thesis, but I had a chance to visit as well as re-connect with old friends. I am so incredibly lucky to have friends like I have in Hawaii in my life. I know they are reading this and all I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you! I love you guys more than anything in this world… I don’t know what I would have done with out your support, love, and friendship! Thank you for the wonderful times and many laughs. I’ll see you all in January!
In the meantime, here’s a song by Jack, from the movie A Brokedown Melody, that reminds me of Hawaii.
Have a wonderful week everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!
Kiss!! :)
I know I’m at home here in Hawaii when I paddled in from surfing while my friends stayed to catch some more waves.
As I sat on the beach basking in the sun a couple sat near by with their radio blasting Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What A Wonderful World by Bruddah Iz aka Israel Kamakawiwo’ole.
And I smiled.
My heart filled with absolute joy and happiness as I watched my friends surf, waving hello to old friends with whom I haven’t seen in years, listening the birds sing as the trade winds gently blew on my skin. The beauty of this place and this certain spot (which I won’t give away) is so incredibly special.
I’m glad I’ve decided to stay for a while. When I do go home to shitty LA, I will pack my bags and move back home to Hawaii where I was always meant to be.
Have a wonderful week everyone! :)

Another beautiful day here in Hawaii. I must note that Halloween here in the islands is crazy. Everyone is into dressing up and decorating…. the vibe reminds me of Mardi Gras in New Orleans… insane!
And, in case you were wondering, yes I did dress up last night. I was a pirate. Lame I know, but whatever. LOL. Slightly hungover, but I sure had one heck of a time… especially if I compared it to last year which was one complete bore.
Photos will come later from last night’s festivus. In the meantime, here are some images from the other morning.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
Life in Hawaii = fantastic!
Getting ready to head on out to a BBQ and surf with good friends. I was supposed to come back on Thursday, but I decided to change the date. Not coming home for another two weeks. LOL. Hell… I may never come back! All I need is here. What is there to go home to (besides my Dad and meet with my thesis committee?) The answer is nothing, really. Of course, I will miss my friends on the Mainland especially SG… but…
Honestly, I wish I could fly in once a month to meet with the TC, instead. And I’m sure there is a Berlitz school here on Oahu whereupon I could finish my French class. :)

Day 2 on Oahu. On my break I decided to walk around the state archive building and take some photos of some historic sites. These are but a few that I took.
Mainly, my entire day was spent in the archives and I have many hours left to complete. Tomorrow is another day of writing… but hey… I’m in paradise so it isn’t that bad. :)
I love this book! :) Oddly enough there are times when I feel I am the Giving Tree. Helping, giving, and being there for people. Yet, receiving noting in return. I need to stop being such a doormat.
